With leadership from Director of Music, Judith Hallman, we have a strong history of wonderful choral and instrumental music for our services and special occasions. A 6 foot grand piano and a two manual Allen electronic organ are used in services, for concerts and other special events.
A 24 voice Senior Choir contributes a meaningful anthem and leads hymn singing for services. We rehearse each Thursday from 7 to 8:30 pm in the sanctuary (from September through to May) and again at 10 am on Sunday in the Heritage Hall. A 10 member Junior Choir meets for practice on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am in the sanctuary and sings approximately once a month in a service. We would be happy to have additional members in both choirs.
We are fortunate to have many talented musicians who lend their talents occasionally for special anthems or services and appreciate their support. A brass ensemble contributes greatly to Christmas, Easter and other special services.
St. Peter’s is regularly used by a local music school for their recitals and by a community choir for their rehearsals. We also host concerts by several local and visiting musical groups each year as well.
